Larry J. Brown

Larry J. Brown, 71, entered into rest on Friday, September 13, 2013.

Mr. Brown was born on July 30, 1942 in Dodge County, Georgia. A resident of Houston County since 1966, Larry owned and operated Southern Cattle Company where he purchased livestock. In addition, he owned and operated R & S Transfer Trucking Company. He was passionate about farming and cattle. He was the youngest to graduate from Kansas City Auctioneering School. He was truly a family man and never met a stranger. Larry's infectious laugh, kind smile and loving disposition will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His parents, Jesse Clarance Brown and Vera Mae Watson Brown, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of fifty years, Susan Rieger Brown, Perry;
son, Michael L. Brown (Patricia), Warner Robins; daughter, Michelle Brown Bittick (Darryl), Byron; grandchildren, Stuart Michael Brown, Robert Alan Brown, and Brock W. Snyder, II; siblings, Gene, Terry, Gary, Rudy, and Nell; mother in law, Lois Rieger Williams (Jimmy), Helena; sister in law, Patricia Bryant, Centerville; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon beginning at 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Perry Memorial Gardens.
