Lauren Frances "Bunnie" Jones

The sun rose and the world became brighter on August 19, 1989, when Lauren Frances “Bunnie” Jones was born in Macon to Caroline Bullock and Jeffrey Jones. The earth’s light was dimmed when Bunnie passed away on June 30, 2021.

Anyone who met Bunnie would remember her joy, her love of life, and her beautiful spirit. She attended Houston County schools and Middle Georgia Technical College. As a child, Bunnie was a superb athlete and was a member of the 2002 Little League World Series softball team, which placed third in the world. This was the first time a Little League team represented Warner Robins in the World Series.

Bunnie was extremely creative and enjoyed making her home an inviting and welcoming place for friends to visit. She took pride in her appearance and always looked like a million bucks. Bunnie will always be remembered for her radiant smile which would light up a room and she embraced every person that crossed her path. Her friends and family knew that she loved them deeply and was always there to offer encouragement and celebrate their successes. Her greatest joy in life was her son, Blaine, and we know that she will always be watching over him.

“I would like to be remembered for my kindness, giving second chances, loving selflessly, and endless loyalty. Always remember to extend grace because we are all just walking each other home.”

Her paternal grandfather, Marvin Jones, preceded Bunnie in death.

Those who are left to treasure Bunnie’s memory are her son, Blaine Nash; parents, Caroline Bullock Usher and Jeffrey Jones (Pam); grandparents, Martha F. Bullock, J. Harrison Bullock, and Laura Nell Jones; brother, Jacob W. Usher; aunts and uncles, Ava Blazi, Warren Faircloth, James and Diane Faircloth, Tina and Tony Hendrix, and Marvin D. Jones as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews and friends who will all dearly miss her.

A celebration of Bunnie’s life will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 5, 2021 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
