Laurine Swain Johnson, 81, entered into rest on Thursday, October 6, 2011.
Mrs. Johnson was born on August 7, 1930 in McRae, Georgia. After working thirty-eight years in Medical Records, she retired from Houston Medical Center. Her greatest joy came in giving to others. Her charitable interests were too numerous to list though the Paralyzed Veterans Organization and the Humane Society were especially close to her heart. Her church home, River of Life, meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert Vincent and Sally Mae Rawlins Swain; and siblings, Robert "Bob", Louis and William "Bill" Swain, Betty Whittimore, Sara Doss and Mary Selph.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her devoted and loving husband of forty-one years, James Walter Johnson; children, Sharon Waller Daniel, Mark Johnson and Carla Henderson Hinson, Warner Robins; a granddaughter who was the light of her life, Whitney Gray Watson (Josh); and a great-granddaughter, Morgan Watson.
Visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2011 at McCullough Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Dwayne Evors officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
