Lawrence Wang, 76, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 25, 2016 while at the Coliseum Medical Centers in Macon.
Lawrence was born in Taiwan and was a resident of Warner Robins for the past 16 years. He retired from Fort Valley State University as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, after a long and accomplished career in education. He was unwavering in his pursuit of knowledge and education as his impeccable work ethic took him from humble child-entrepreneur in Taiwan to accomplished professor with two doctorate degrees.
His parents, Long-Ying and Fung Wang, preceded him in death.
Dr. Wang's memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Annie Wu Wang of Warner Robins; children, Anna Michelle Wang-Chao of Dublin, Ohio and Alexander Moses Wang of Macon; and three adoring grandchildren, Liberty Madison, Rockwell Quinn, and Sonnet Robin Chao.
Visitation will be Friday, September 2nd from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. At the family's request, burial will be private.
