Lawrence "Larry" Lonzie Knight, Jr.

Lawrence “Larry” Lonzie Knight, Jr., 72, passed away at his residence in Roberta on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

The son of the late Lawrence Knight, Sr. and Myrtle Rebecca Riner Parrish, Larry was born on January 9, 1952. He owned and operated Knight Concrete for 20 years in Bonaire. Larry was also of the Baptist faith.

In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, western movies, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Freeman Knight; sister, Mary Bracken Bryant; and stepfather, Ralph Parrish.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, April Louise Posey (Jamie Christopher Mead Posey); grandchildren, Bailey Grace Wimberly, Katelyn Marie Posey, Bristol Hope Posey, and Rowan Brooks Mead Posey; as well as sisters, Rose Weaver, Gloria Hamlin; and brother, Chris Parrish.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Magnolia Park Cemetery where Lawrence Lonzie Knight, Jr. will be laid to rest.
