Lawrence “Larry” Paul Adams, Jr.

On Friday, August 20, 2021, Lawrence “Larry” Paul Adams, Jr., 64, passed away at Houston Medical Center.

Born on September 28, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Larry was the son of Lawrence Paul Adams, Sr. of Macon and the late Bessie Hackler Chase. Larry worked as a Mechanic Tech at Crown Candy before later working for 19 years at Frito-Lay. He loved his family and spent every moment he could with them. Larry enjoyed fishing, gardening, and hunting. He could fix anything and enjoyed tinkering. Proud of his Cajun roots, Larry was a fantastic cook and a true “Coonass.” Larry also loved his peacocks and his dog, “Boo Boo.” Larry was dearly adored and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Larry was preceded in death by his siblings, Gary Dean Adams and Julie Ann Riley.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of 27 years, Sharon S. Adams; sons, Lawrence Paul Adams, III (Hailey Bagley) of Byron; Gary Dean Adams (Kat Roberts) of Byron; Michael D. Adams; and David D. Adams; father, Lawrence Paul Adams, Sr. of Macon; sister, Roxanne “Rocky” Kennedy of Springfield, Louisiana.

Visitation with Larry’s family will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Collett officiating. Following the service, Larry will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
