Lawrence Williams, Sr.

Lawrence Williams, Sr. was born on July 28, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Mary Ella Cole and Rudolph Williams, Sr. He was the third eldest of his five siblings.

In 1978, Lawrence met Beverly Austin. He knew she was his soulmate, the love of his life. In 1979, Lawrence asked for Beverly’s hand in marriage, and on October 12, 1979, Lawrence and Beverly joined together as one in holy matrimony. They later expanded their family with three daughters and a son.

In April of 1986, Lawrence pursued his passion in Electronic Systems Engineering and started his career at Northrop Grumman. He truly loved and enjoyed his work. In 2008, Lawrence decided to continue his career with Northrop Grumman at the branch located in Georgia. On December 28, 2008, Lawrence moved his family to Bonaire, Georgia where they have resided for approximately ten years.

Lawrence was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and son. Lawrence was known for his love of family and prided himself in their accomplishments. His greatest joy was spending time with them, talking, laughing, listening to music, and going on outings to amusement parks, drive-in theatres, and many other places. Most of all, he cherished family dinners and reunions shared together. Lawrence loved to fire up the grill to barbeque and going on family vacations. In his free time, Lawrence spent time reading and doing research, though his favorite past-time was playing chess.

Lawrence was a very hardworking man who enjoyed many things in life. He fell asleep in death on October 17, 2018.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents Mary Cole and Rudolph Williams, Sr.

Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Williams; children, Latasha, Lawanda, Lawrence, Jr., and Lakeisha (Jamal); grandchildren, Alisha, Lanesha, Travalle, Jabari, Honesty, Tamyla, and Myron, Jr.; siblings, Annie, Rudolph, Jr., Dale, Kim, and Ronald and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, brethren, and friends.

A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. White’s arrangements.
