Lazarus Jedidiah “L.J.” Green was born, but already in Heaven, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
In John 11 Lazarus died from sickness. Jesus, knowing that he was going to raise him from the dead, so that they would believe He was the Son of God, went to their family in Bethany and wept. Jesus wept. He felt their hurt and pain in that moment, even though He knew that Lazarus would live. That temporary pain was worth the eternal life that would come from what God had planned. Today we mourn the loss of the life that we had planned and hoped for with our LJ. But our temporary pain is all a part of Gods working to bring eternal life to all people everywhere knowing that our boy is with Jesus. It is our joy to be LJ’s parents. It has been our privilege to have him, even though for a short time. It is our responsibility to proclaim the hope of Jesus so that heaven will be more crowded. It’s our prayer that in LJ’s life, death, and eternal life with Jesus that others will know with certainty the eternal life that’s found in Jesus.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving parents, Jacob and Stacey Green; siblings, Sadie Green, Luke Green, and Levi Green; and family.
A celebration of Life in Heaven will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Shirley Hills Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of LJ to Shirley Hills Baptist Church. We cannot thank you enough for all the love and support you have shown us during this time.
