Leah Virginia Duesing

March 14, 1917 — January 2, 2004

Leah Virginia Duesing, 86, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2004 in her friend’s home. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 6, from 4 until 6 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be in Chenoweth Cemetery in Grantsville, West Virginia. A local memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ms. Duesing was born in Oka, West Virginia. She was retired from civil service, having worked as a provision officer. She was a member of Northview United Methodist Church. She was precded in death by her parents, Captain Knotts and Cleora Camelia Chenoweth, and brother, Colonel George Chenoweth.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Camelia McSwegan, Warner Robins, and Joyce Chase, New Castle, ME; sisters, Eva Paine, Lovettsville, WV, and Marjorie Henson, St. Albans, WV; brother, John Chenoweth, Arborvale, WV; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
