Leon Duke Roberson

Leon Duke Roberson, 74, passed away at home on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 21, 2022. He was born to the late William Duke and Ruby Hazel Roberson on June 3, 1948 in Chauncey, GA.

Leon’s lifelong vocation included working in the construction business as a carpenter for 45 years. For fun, he enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, riding his golf cart and taking care of his dogs. Leon dearly loved his family but loved nothing more than being “Papa” to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Roberson; children, Vicki Dorn, Matthew Roberson, Daniel Roberson, Travis Roberson and Christy Gould; stepsons, Mark and Curt Fowler; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Bruce Roberson; and two dogs.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial service celebrating Leon’s life at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Elko Baptist Church. Pastor Wayne Holcomb will officiate.
