An American soldier and the world’s best dad, Leroy Tolliver, Sr. 67, passed away at Houston Medical Center on November 12, 2021.
Born on May 6, 1954, in Livingston, Alabama, Leroy was the son of the late Clarence and Annie Lea Wynn Tolliver. “Once a Marine, Always a Marine,” Leroy often stated after proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps with the rank of Sergeant. He also liked to remind those around him that “when the going gets tough, the tough gets going.” Although Leroy was tough on the outside, he always had a soft spot for his family. He was also the world’s greatest storyteller and could capture the imagination of whomever he met. In Morristown, New Jersey, Leroy was the past commander of the American Legion Post 312 and was a member of the VFW 40/8. Leroy will be remembered for his service and dedication to God, his family, his country and his spirit will always be a part of us. He will be deeply and sorely missed.
His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife, Elnoria Tolliver of 49 years; children, Leroy D. Tolliver, Jr., Wendell Tolliver, Ronda Tolliver; grandchildren, Malik Tolliver, Shakur Tolliver, Tiarrah Tolliver, Tyrese Tolliver; and sister, Linda Tolliver.
Services times are currently pending and will be updated as soon as possible. Please check back.
