Levi George Barfield

Levi George Barfield, 76, passed away to his heavenly home Friday, June 28, 2002 at the Houston Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, July 1, 2002 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment at 3:00pm at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Sunday evening at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Barfield was born in Fort Valley, Georgia. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army. He retired Civil Service from the Robins AFB was once the golf pro at the Pine Needles Country Club in Fort Valley. His parents, Howard and Theresa Barfield, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Ammons Barfield; daughters, Cathy Barfield Newby, Gray, Julie Barfield Streetman, Elko; son-in-laws, Perry T. Streetman III and Bill Newby; brothers, Mercer Barfield, Macon, Wesley Barfield, Florida; sister, Linda Rentz, Louisiana; granddaughter, Taylor Catherine Martin, Elko; grandsons, Tanner Martin, Cole Streetman, Joshua and Travis Streetman, all of Elko.
