Lewis A. Murner, 80, died Thursday, December 20 at his residence. Services will be held on Sunday, December 23 at 3:00 PM in Bonaire First Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mr. Murner was born in Forsyth, GA. He was a veteran of World War II, having served two overseas tours in the 785th Tank Battalion of the Army Air Corp. He retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Tyrian Lodge 111 and he served as a Deacon at Bonaire First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Murner; brothers, Leroy Murner and Jack Murner; and sisters, Gladys McCormick and Dorothy Walker.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mildred Jeneal Murner; daughters, Ann Anzures and husband Dino, Noblesville, IN; Carol Beatty and husband Bill, Warner Robins; sisters and brothers, Louise Clark, Warner Robins; Evelyn Crutchfield, Forsyth; Russell Murner, Macon; Bobby Murner, Rockmart, GA; Brenda Taylor, Forsyth; Donna Banks, Forsyth; grandchildren, Brook and Shay Hale; Amanda Anzures; Justin, Jordan and Jenna Beatty; and great-grandchild, Lexi Ashland Hale.
