Lilas Reid Lann, 79, entered into rest on Sunday, March 22, 2009.
Mr. Lann was born on February 4, 1930 in Monroe County, Mississippi. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United State Navy and participated in the Korean Conflict. He later worked as a Scheduler in civil service and retired from Robins Air Force Base. An avid golfer and family man, he was a member of Avondale Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Phillip Paul; parents, Troy Lee Lann and Thelma Lee Towery Lann; step-mother, Ollie Lann; brothers, Clayton, Jimmy and Virgil Lann; and grandchild, T.J. Lee.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Delilah Meade Lann; sons, Raymond (Delores) Johnson, Byron, L. Reid (Donna) Lann, Jr., Byron, and Jeffery D. Lann, Warner Robins; daughters, Janice Jackson, Sandersville, Roxanne (Keith) Ussery, Macon, and Lisa (Dale) Green, Warner Robins; brother, Lynwood Lann, Helena; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Chaplain Michael Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Heartland Hospice, 115 Arkwright Landing, Macon GA 31210.
