Lillian Hale Bloodworth, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
Mrs. Bloodworth was born on May 8, 1924 in Shiloh, Georgia. She was longtime member of Second Baptist Church where she was very active with the choir. At Second Baptist Church, she also enjoyed many activities, especially being a member of and traveling with the XYZ Senior Citizen Group. She worked at Houston Medical Center for over twenty years as a Ward Clerk. Lillian was a wonderful homemaker and loved spending time with her beloved family. Her peaceful, gentle spirit and kind disposition will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Bloodworth, her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her son, Dr. Wayne Bloodworth (Linda), Alpharetta; daughter, Brenda VanSant (Vic), Thomson; grandchildren, Levi VanSant, Charleston, South Carolina; Jami
VanSant Shingler, Augusta; Karla Bloodworth Riker, Decatur; Traci Bloodworth Thomas, Norcross; sister, Joyce Baker Messer, LaGrange; and many other extended family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Reverend Gary Morton will officiate. The family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to Second Baptist Church, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
