Lillie M. Richardson, 74, entered into peaceful rest on Sunday, August 19, 2018, and woke up in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
Lillie was born on December 23, 1943 in Fort Pierce, Florida to Lizzie Mae Mitchell. A loving and caring mother, Lillie raised her seven children as a single parent. She was resourceful and was not afraid to ask for help, and in so doing, she demonstrated the power of family. She was firm, and with a strong hand taught her children right from wrong. She was a courageous mother who inspired courage in her children exemplified by their nearly 70 years of combined military service. She was tender, and that tenderness returned to her in her final years as her children lovingly cared for her when her health failed. Finally, she was the truest definition of love, and the power of her love will echo throughout the world for generations to come. God used her mightily and the world is a better place because she lived. She ran her race well, she finished the course, and she kept the faith. She has earned the right to hear the wonderful words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
Her memory will forever be treasured by her devoted children, Ronald D. Richardson, Maurice Richardson, Dr. Joseph C. Richardson (Felicia), Bobby Richardson, Cynthia Griffith (Calvin), Robert A. Richardson, and Charlene R. Allen; mother, Lizzie Mae Mitchell; siblings, Ruby Smith, William Benjamin, Paul Benjamin (Barbara), Shellie Benjamin, Johnnie Clark (Bernice), L.C. Miller, Millie Pitts, Tommie Bell (Margie); twenty-one grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and aunt, Eula Bell-Judson.
