Linda Faye West

Linda Faye West, 75, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. She left us peacefully and was surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 12, 1946 in Macon, Georgia, Faye was a twin daughter of the late Lloyd and Exie Batchelor. She was a familiar and friendly face at Piggly Wiggly for a number of years before retiring. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Faye’s family was her number one priority in life and she was sure to be there for everything. She lived for having “girls’ days” and also loved time spent with her son and husband, but her grandchildren meant the most to her. Faye was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan and Gospel music lover who loved shopping, bowling, dancing, playing cards, and traveling.

Faye is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Ray West of Roberta; children, Terri Hartwell (Eric) of Bonaire, and Ken Simmons and Lisa Simmons Grinstead, both of Roberta; grandchildren, Jason Hartwell (Kati), Joshua Hartwell (Christy), Jessica Sanders (Matthew), Johnathan Higgs (Megan Isom) and Shawn Higgs; great-grandchildren, Mccann, Nolan, Jackie, Rylan, Brynlee, Henry, Hunter, Richard, Corbin, Kenny, Ronnie and Liam; and siblings, Kaye Faulk (Joe), Mary DeFore, Carrie Simmons, Ruby Simmons, Nell Carr, Buck Batchelor and Edna Reynolds.

A memorial service celebrating Faye’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Afterward, Faye will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
