Linda "Marie" Oliver

Marie Oliver, 84, entered into rest on Saturday, April 16, 2016.

Marie was born to the late Charlie and Ollie Barker on February 28, 1932 in Hot Springs, North Carolina. Her childhood was spent in Westminster, South Carolina where she grew up on the family farm. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, her life was dedicated to serving her family. She taught Sunday school for many years at Bible Baptist Temple and worked in the Children's Church and arranged flowers for Bethel Baptist Church. Marie was most recently a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and the Lois Bible class.

Her beloved husband of sixty-one years, Aaron D. Oliver, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Charles A. Oliver (Sharon) of Byron, Eddie L. Oliver (Debra) of Byron, Betty M. Strawmier (Edward) of Warner Robins and Linda L. Ruberti (Kim) of Warner Robins; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Holiday, Billy Barker and Betty Gilliam, all of Westminster, South Carolina; nephew David Garnto and niece Carol Ann Taylor and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Marie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
