Linda T. Carter

Linda T. Carter, 58, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

Mrs. Carter was born on May 16, 1950, in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She was a Hospital Homebound Manager employed by the Houston County Board of Education. A passionate musician, she began to play the piano for her church at the age of twelve. She also was a talented vocalist with various groups. She called Cornerstone Baptist her church home. Her father, William E. Tuttle, Jr., preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of thirty-six years, Bobby J. Carter; mother, Viola Ingram Tuttle, Rural Hall, North Carolina; sons, Anthony Carter (Jenny), Covington, and Shawn Carter (Brittney), Macon; granddaughters, Molly Carter and Allison Carter; and brother, Terry Tuttle (Dee), Rural Hall, North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Boe Stanley and Reverend Jeremy Barrett officiating, with visitation to follow. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at Mountain View Baptist Church in King, North Carolina, Reverend James Saul officiating, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2008, at Mountain View Baptist Church in King, North Carolina, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 60 East 56th Street, 8th floor, New York, NY 10022.
