Lloyd "Pete" Peterson, 77, passed away May 2, 2008 after a long illness. He was a forty-year resident of Houston County.
Mr. Peterson was born on February 20, 1931 in Harlan, Kentucky. He was a veteran who served with pride and honor in the U. S. Air Force, retiring in 1971 after twenty years of service. He also retired from the Robins Air Force Base Electronics Division after sixteen years of Civil Service employment. Mr. Peterson enjoyed fishing, electronics, traveling with wife Kay, working in the yard and Amateur Radio. His parents, James Peterson and Sarah Peterson, brothers, Harold Foster, Ralph Foster and sister Bertia Lewis all preceded him in death.
Mr. Peterson is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Kay Porter Peterson, Kathleen; sons, David (Kathy) Peterson, Gray, and James (Marilyn) Peterson, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Allen, Honolulu, Hawaii; Christopher Peterson, Atlanta and Kourtney Peterson, Byron; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Black and Madilyn Allen, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
