Lola Mae Bates Hall

September 10, 1937 — June 19, 2022

Lola Mae Bates Hall, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and special friend to many, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the age of 84. She was born on September 10, 1937 in Laurens County, GA, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Mattie Scott Bates and was of the Baptist faith.

Lola was a dedicated and loving wife to her belated husband, F.L, a devoted mother to her three children, and a doting grandmother as they were the passion in her life. She never missed her children’s ballgames and spent as much time as she could with each member of her family over the years. On top of spending time with family and friends, you would likely have found Lola yard-saling (she was the Yard Sale Queen of Warner Robins), cooking, traveling, bowling, or fishing. The love and commitment she gave to her family is a legacy that will bless generations to come.

Those left to cherish Lola’s memory are her loving children, Bonnie Beene (Butch) of Warner Robins, Gale Green (Larry) of Kathleen and Dana Hall (Robin) of Gulfport, MS; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Avery of Gray; and sisters-in-law, Faye Mars (Stephen), Linda Bates and Marie Bates.

Lola’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Lola will be laid to rest next to F.L. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens following the service. Friends are welcome to gather with the family at Lola’s home in Bonaire before or after the services.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be given in memory of Lola to a charity of your choice.
