Loretta Young Brewer

Loretta Young Brewer, 82, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

Loretta was born on February 6, 1941, in Colbert, Georgia, to the late George B. Young and Nadine Young. As a young girl she had a bicycle paper route for the Macon Telegraph and News. She graduated from Warner Robins High School, class of 1959. After graduation, she moved to Centerville where she lived most of her life. Loretta was an active member of First Baptist Church Centerville. She most often could be found shopping at the local flea markets or visiting the yard sales with her friends. She was employed as a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base but left to become a loving homemaker that doted on her kids, especially her grandchildren, meeting all their needs. She worked hard to take care of her home. Loretta was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for the family especially during the Holidays. She also loved traveling to the mountains and listening to the river.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert B. Brewer and her brother, Robert Young.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Michael Brewer, Kenny Brewer (Allison), Gary Brewer, Linda Tanner (Glenn); grandchildren, Amy, Brittany, Ashley, Dana, Robert, Catherine, Saige, Sheridan, Sydney; 15 grandchildren; and her brother, Walter Young (Elaine).

Visitation will be Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 10:00 am. until 11:00 am. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Loretta will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.  After the services the family will be having a meal at The Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home.
