Louise Bassett Keene

Louise Bassett Keene went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Centerville, Georgia.

Louise was a well-respected homemaker who was devoted to her husband and their five children.
Among her many talents in her earlier years, Louise enjoyed bowling, traveling, and shopping.

Louise was a deeply spiritual person, and a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville. Her heart for service led her to volunteer her time visiting others in nursing homes and hospitals to brighten someone else's day.

Her memory will be forever treasured by her loving husband of 36 years, Maurice Keene; children, Gary Davis (Yvonne) of Centerville, Iris Keene of Ellenwood, Cyndi Scott of Chesapeake, Virginia, Samuel Keene (Teresa) of Stockbridge, and Joseph Keene of Acworth; along with 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Elizabeth Garvin, Martha Sims, Ann Mason, and Jeannette Smith (Woodrow) all of Centerville; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elzie and Evelyn Nobles Bassett, and brother, Marvin Bassett, all of Centerville.

The family will receive visitors at McCullough Funeral Home on Thursday October 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of McCullough on Friday, October 30th at 3:00 p.m. with The Rev. Mobley Cross officiating. Louise will be laid to rest in Centerville Cemetery following the service.

In honor of Louise's memory, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
