Louise Mullis was summoned by God to join her beloved husband, Alvin "Bo" Mullis in Heaven on the morning of Wednesday, March 23, 2016. She was 87 years old.
On March 16, 1929, Louise was born in Anniston, Alabama to the late Carl and Fannie Awtry. She retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and was an active member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Louise enjoyed volunteering with the Houston Medical Center Auxiliary (Pink Ladies) where she served 38 years and over 17, 000 hours. She was a much-loved member of the Centerville Senior Citizens Club.
In addition to her husband and parents, Louise was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany Sartain; brothers, Jerry Awtry and Carl Awtry, Jr.; and sister, Ruth Brooks.
She leaves her memory behind with her loving sons, Butch Sartain (Anne) of Warner Robins, Danny Sartain of Macon, and Al Mullis (Yvonne) of Lake Worth, Florida; grandchildren, Kelly Scruggs (Jeff), Danielle Adams (Scott), Lyndsay and Derek Sartain, and Spencer Segars; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of adoring nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. A private graveside service will be held for Louise following the service at Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Rebi Rd., Cochran, GA.
