Louise Tullis Godfrey

April 8, 1923 — February 1, 2011

Louise Tullis Godfrey, 87, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

Mrs. Godfrey was born on April 8, 1923 in Cogburn, Georgia. A devoted homemaker, she was a member of Byron Baptist Church, and in the Gleaners Sunday School Class. Her brother, Marvin Ernest Tullis; and parents, James Arthur Tullis and Maggie Anderson Tullis, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of sixty-five years, William J. Godfrey, Sr.; daughter, Mary G. Cockrell; son, William J. Godfrey, Jr.; Betty Hassoun; grandchildren; John David Cockrell (Nikki), Victoria Hassoun and Phillip Hassoun; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Walker and Savannah Louise Cockrell.

Visitation will be Friday, February 4, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Byron Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Flowers accepted or memorial donations may be made to Byron Baptist Church, 100 White Road Byron, GA 31008.
