Loyd Edward Lee, 83, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 1, 2011.
Mr. Lee was born on February 19, 1928 in Tallapoosa, Georgia. A true servant of the Lord, he was a faithful member of Bonaire First Baptist Church where he taught the Senior Men's Bible Study Class for many years, served on the Building Committee and was Church Treasurer. With pride and honor, Loyd served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. After thirty one years of employment, he retired from civil service at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center at Robins Air Force Base. His parents, George W. and Essie Jordan Lee, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of fifty four years, Elvenia F. Lee, Bonaire; son and daughter in law, Jonathan and Kristie Lee; grandson, Joshua Lee; of Perry; brothers, Bill Lee, Fort Myers, Florida; Stanley Lee, Newnan. Words are inadequate to express the loss of Loyd Lee, devoted servant of God, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, November 3, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Bonaire First Baptist Church with interment following in New Richland Baptist Church Cemetery in Twiggs County. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the donor's favorite charity.
