Bret Wilson, 56, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015.
Bret was born on February 24, 1959 at Lockbourne AFB, Ohio. Upon graduation from high school, Bret attended the United States Air Force Academy and graduated in 1981. He then proceeded to earn a Master's Degree from Virginia Tech.
After 25 years of honorable service, Bret retired as a Lt Col from the Air Force. He continued his career as the current Headquarters AFRC (Air Force Reserve Command) Deputy Director of Communications at Robins AFB. In his spare time, Bret enjoyed keeping and showing koi, raising orchids, recreational fishing, and drag racing. He will always be remembered for the unmeasurable amount of love he had for his family.
His father, Elmo Wilson, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Liz Wilson of Bonaire; children Alex Wilson of Atlanta, Tyler Wilson of Bonaire, Gordon Wells of Bonaire; mother, Joy Wilson of Washington Court House, Ohio; and siblings, Cherie Mosley (Steve), Tate Wilson (Mickey), and Susan Wilson (Coy Wright).
Visitation will be Monday, October 19, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with full military honors. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Lt Col Bret Wilson, USAF (Ret.) to the Fisher House Foundation, www.fisherhouse.org or P.O. Box 97229 Washington, DC 20077.
