Earl Coffey, 85, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018.
Earl was born on December 24, 1932 in Stonington, Illinois to the late Eugene and Ruth Miller Coffey. A proud United States Air Force Veteran, he honorably served his country during the Korean War as a Maintenance Officer. Earl retired after over 30 years of service as a Lieutenant Colonel. Later, he worked in civil service at Robins Air Force base as a Branch Chief for the F-15 until his retirement. Earl had a servant’s heart; he would volunteer his time at the Georgia Baptist disaster relief and the Christian Social Ministry’s Food Bank. He also enjoyed volunteering as a referee for boys and girls sports for many years.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 63 years, Sally Coffey of Warner Robins; children, Nancy Childs (Buddy) of Euharlee, Tom Coffey (Sarah) of Marietta; grandchildren, Travis Childs (Amanda), Lindsay Konka (Jaroslav), Tucker Childs (Amber), Conner Coffey, Luke Coffey; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Emma, Abby, Charlotte, and siblings, Merle, Leah, Elsie, and Mary.
Visitation will be Friday, June 15, 2018, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. After the service, Earl will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Earl E. Coffey to the Christian Social Ministry care of the Rehoboth Association, 744 Lake Joy Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
