Lt. Col. Edward Mitchell Iii

Lieutenant Colonel Edward Stephen Mitchell, III, 48, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2003 at the Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m.on Tuesday, November 11, in the Robins Air Force Base Chapel with interment following at 3:30 pm in Pineview Memorial Gardens, North Augusta, SC. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Abilities Discovered Inc., 211 Corder Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Lieutenant Colonel Mitchell was born at Johnson AFB, Japan. He served in the United States Air Force Reserve Command in Management Engineering. He attended Calvary Chapel Heartland Church. His father, Edward Stephen Mitchell, Jr., preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Shackelford Mitchell, Warner Robins; mother, Mary Swann Mitchell, Belvedere, SC; daughter, Stephanie Mitchell Bonnell and son-in-law Ryan C. Bonnell, Robins AFB; son, Edward Stephen Mitchell, IV, Warner Robins; sister, Carolyn Mitchell Woods, Belvedere, SC; brother, William Michael Mitchell, Inverness, FL.
