Jack was born to the late Richard and Cecile Karch on August 7, 1929 in Celina, Ohio. He enlisted in the USAF in 1952 and served for 28 years as a navigator and rated pilot. He retired from Robins Air Force Base in 1980 as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his many years of dedicated service he proudly served in the Korean, Cold and Vietnam Wars.
He married Martha Jane Warner on December 26, 1954 and was married for 62 years. Jack enjoyed officiating sports with a regional umpiring association and was a member of the USAF retired pilots association, the 39th Flight Order of Dadaleons.
He is survived by his wife, Marty, his 4 children: Karen Maqueda, Mark (Libby) Karch, Craig Karch,
Kara (Neil) Suggs, and his 6 grandchildren: Carlos, Schafer, Kristin, Parker, Jacob & Jeremy.
Jack passed peacefully from natural causes and was surrounded by his loved ones. Burial services will be held in his hometown of Bluffton, Indiana. In lieu of flowers and at Jack's request, please make a charitable donation to the veterans' organization of your choice.
