Lt. Col. Jennifer L. Dieckmann, Usaf (Ret.)

Jennifer L. Dieckmann, 65, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015.

Jennifer was born on December 4, 1949 in Princeton, Indiana. She grew up in Mt. Carmel, Illinois where she graduated from Mt. Carmel High School. Following graduation, Jennifer proceeded to the University of Illinois receiving a degree in Anthropology in 1972. She then furthered her education obtaining a Master of Communication degree from Webster's University.

In 1972 Jennifer enlisted in the United States Air Force where she proudly served during Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Provide Comfort, and Provide Promise. In 1986 she completed her Intermediate Military Education at the Air Command and Staff College. She served as the Commander of the 667 Special Operations Maintenance Squadron at RAF Woodbridge, England from July 1989 to 1992. Jennifer retired from Robins Air Force Base, after 28 years of honorable service, at that time she was serving as Chief, Aircraft Maintenance Branch.

Her parents, William V. and Sarita Tanquary Gwyn, and brother, Geoffrey Gwyn, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 37 years, Mark L. Dieckmann of Warner Robins; her twin sister, Becky Scheller (Mark) of Lebanon, Indiana; sister, Anne Moffett of Point St. Lucie, Florida; and brother, James Gwyn (Joyce) of Marshall, Illinois.

A Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at McCullough Funeral Home. In honor of her service to our country, full military honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Jennifer L. Dieckmann to Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o: Al Sihah Shrine, P.O. Box 3147, Macon, Ga 31205 or Disabled Veterans of America: Department of Georgia 4462 Houston Ave, Macon , Ga 31206.
