Charles F. Shadron, Sr., 73, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2008.
Mr. Shadron was born on June 1, 1934 in Warren, Ohio. He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where he served in the ROTC. Upon graduating, he began his service for his country with the United States Air Force, during that time her served in the Vietnam Conflict. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel, he worked with Continental Can as a Quality Control Inspector for approximately 10 years. He was a member of the American Legion. His parents, Charles and Mabel Shadron, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Shadron, Warner Robins; son, Charles “Chuck” F. Shadron, Jr., Warner Robins; daughters, Jill Mora (Dan), Buena Park, California, and Janet Mistretta (Mike), Tampa, Florida; sisters, Jane Potter, Ocala, Florida, and Virginia Shadron, Atlanta; brother, John Shadron, San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Michelle Eddins, Mathew and Lauren Marrone; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2008 at Christ United Methodist Church with interment following in Andersonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to American Cancer Society, Macon Office, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, GA 31201 or the Diabetes Association, 17 Executive Park Drive, Atlanta, GA 30329
