Ltc Philip E. "Phil" Eubanks, Usar (Ret.)

December 6, 1946 — June 28, 2022

Phil Eubanks, born on December 6, 1946 in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Stafford and Lahoma Eubanks, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. He was surrounded by those who loved him best.

After spending his formative years in Pine Bluff, Phil moved with his family to Macon, GA in 1953. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1965 where he was one of the ROTC Company Commanders. Phil kept his ambition by attending Georgia Tech, participating in ROTC, serving as a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity and co-oping at Robins Air Force Base, all simultaneously. In 1971, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and transitioned from his co-op at Robins Air Force Base to a full-time Civil Service career in Electrical Engineering and working with C-130s. Additionally, Phil enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves following his commencement from Georgia Tech. With the military, he proudly served during Operation Desert Shield and also enjoyed teaching at the Air Defense School in Fort Bliss, TX for many years. Phil eventually retired from both the U.S. Army Reserves and Civil Service with 36 dedicated years to his country. He later went to work as an engineering consultant with ISPA and SSAI.

On top of being a go-getter in the workforce, Phil was steadfast in his faith for the Lord. He was a faithful, longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Warner Robins where he served as an elder and sang in the choir for over 30 years. Phil was also a member of the Middle Georgia Model Railroad Club, an avid collector of movies and music, and had a passion for photography. Everyone who knew Phil will forever remember him for his dedication to loyally serving his country, for his devotion to God, and for the deep love he had in his heart for family.

In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeffrey Eubanks.

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Eubanks; his children, Casey Eubanks and Stephanie Eubanks; grandson, Zachary Eubanks; sister, Barbara Eubanks; and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
