Ltcol Glenn Edward Haas, Usaf (Ret)

June 4, 1924 — August 3, 2003

LtCol Glenn Edward Haas, USAF (Ret), 79, died Sunday, August 3, 2003. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church with interment in Andersonville National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 336 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, GA, 31088.

Mr. Haas was born in Rolla, Missouri, and moved to Atwater, California, in 1963. He has been a resident of Warner Robins since 2001. LtCol Haas was retired from the United States Air Force, having served in WWII and during the Korean War. He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alma Haas; daughter, Nancy Haas; and sister, LaVera Russell.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Laura Haas, Kathleen; daughters: Glenda Brown (Doug), Martinez, CA; Karen Johnson, Byron; Debi Cole (J.T.), Warner Robins; and Christi Haas, Bonaire; “son”, Johnnie Whately, Bonaire; brothers, Elvin Haas (Olga) and Floyd Haas (Alma), both of Rolla, MO; eight grandchildren, Janet Brownell, Erin Low, Paula Heath, Christopher Walker, Matthew Voskuil, Courtney Jackson, Jordan Cole, and Miandra Whately; and six great grandchildren: Adria, Adam, Nathaniel, Cameron, Brea, and Garrett.
