Lucille "Ann" Young

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lucille "Ann" Young, who passed away at her residence on the morning of Friday, November 24, 2023.

Ann, a woman of unwavering faith, served as the unbreakable string that bound her family together. Her strength, kindness, and acceptance knew no bounds, as she embraced everyone she encountered as part of her extended family. Ann's dedication to the well-being of those she loved was a testament to the depth of her character.

Her great-grandchildren were the source of her daily joy, providing her with a reason to wake up each morning and face the world with a smile. Ann's impact on their lives will undoubtedly resonate through the generations, as they carry forward the love and values she so passionately instilled in them.

Ann is preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Terrell; her mother, Thelma Allen; and her sister, Carolyn Murkerson.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Jessica Terrell, Kaitlyn Benard and Brooklynn Bostick, who continue to carry the torch of Ann's legacy. The love and values she imparted also live on through her great-grandchildren, Ariana Spence, Jeremiah Coursey, and Elijah Coursey; her sister, Penny Ring; as well as several other extended family members and friends.

A memorial gathering with family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 1 :00 p.m. at the Centerville Community Church. A memorial service honoring Ann's life will immediately follow at 1 :00 p.m. Afterward, Ann will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon at a private graveside service.
