Lula Elizabeth Hardy

Lula Elizabeth Hardy, 69, caring mother, doting grand and great-grandmother, and wonderful aunt, entered into rest on September 10, 2018.

Lula Bell was born on February 6, 1949 in Leesburg, Georgia to the late Lon Gilliam and June H. Scott. She retired from Kellwood Apparel and enjoyed playing on her tablet, watching NCIS: Criminal Minds, and being Roman Reigns’ biggest fan. Purple was her favorite color. Long known for her positive outlook on life, contagious smile, and entertaining sense of humor, Lula Bell’s family could not have asked for a better person in their lives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Buford Hardy.

Lula Bell’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Ernest Hardy, Jr. (Nakia), Lisa Hardy (Kim), and Kristy Lynn Hardy (Tanner); grandchildren, Jamie E. Tincher, Ashley N. Tincher, John Swick, Kate Swick, Zakayla Hardy, and Dimarea Hardy; great-grandchildren, Sarah E. Moyer and Anna June Fowler; siblings, Betty Miller and Lonnie Gilliam; and niece and nephews, Sonya D. Jackson, Richard Moran, and David Gilliam, Jr.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Lula will be laid to rest in Perry Memorial Gardens.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. Hardy’s arrangements.
