Lydia Amerson Pierce

Lydia Amerson Pierce, 77, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 8, 2012.

Lydia was born on September 12, 1934, in Stillmore, Georgia. She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she was a part of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She had lived in Warner Robins for the past ten years and enjoyed sewing, reading, needlework, and spending time with her grandchildren. Lydia was preceded in death by her husband Harold Alvin Pierce, and her parents Frank Amerson and Ruby Warren Amerson.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son Gene Pierce (Jenny), Alexandria, Virginia; son Edward Pierce (Mary), Stillmore; daughter Deborah Pierce Harper (Harry), Hardeeville, South Carolina; son Harold ''Hank'' Pierce, Jr. (Holly), Stillmore; son Darin Pierce (April), Bonaire; daughter Lori Pierce Boyd (Keith), Bonaire; nineteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 12, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment at 4:00 p.m. in the Warren Family Cemetery in Stillmore, Georgia. Memorials may be given to Antebellum Grove, 1010 Kathryn Ryals Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088 in memory of Lydia Pierce.
