Lynda Gibson Hickmon, a cherished wife, devoted mother, and a true patriot of the United States military, passed away on the morning of Friday, October 27, 2023, at the age of 76.

Born on August 23, 1947, in Wrightsville, Georgia, Lynda was the daughter of the late Elmer and Nell Joiner Gibson. Lynda graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1965. She went on to pursue a career as the district manager of Hertz Rental.

Upon her retirement, Lynda found great joy in the world of art, particularly through her talents in painting with oils and acrylics. Her love for nature shone through her garden, where she lovingly cultivated beautiful flowers. Lynda also showcased her creative talent through writing and published several articles about family life in Georgia Magazine.

Travel was another one of Lynda's passions, and she embarked on adventures around the world, adding charms to her Pandora bracelet along the way. She had a special fondness for cruises, where she loved to explore new places and make cherished memories.

Lynda's greatest love was reserved for her family. She lived life to the fullest, treasuring every moment spent with her loved ones. With her boundless love, Lynda would move heaven and earth for her family. Lynda was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville.

Lynda's memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 57 years, George Hickmon of Warner Robins; children, Deidra Hickmon Pendleton (Bill) of Powhatan, Virginia, Shelby Woods (Marc) and George Wesley Hickmon (Sandy), all of Warner Robins, and Chad Bryant; grandchildren, Angela Pendleton, Ashley Woods, Kaitlyn Pendleton, Brandon Woods, Kyle Hickmon, Jane Pendleton, Connor Hickmon; great-grandchildren, Josh Pendleton, Kinsley Woods, Allie Pendleton, Hope Pendleton, Addilyn Parker; and sister, Janice Leverette (Frank) of Apollo Beach, Florida.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Magnolia Park Cemetery, where Lynda will be laid to rest.
