Richard William Grundy, 77, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.
Mr. Grundy was born on April 11, 1934 in Minocqua, Wisconsin. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith. Major Grundy retired from the United States Air Force where he participated in the Vietnam Indochina conflict. After his prestigious military career he worked as a Certified Public Accountant. He was an avid golfer and truly enjoyed spending time with his family. His parents, George Grundy and Myrtle Beck Grundy, both preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Janice Grundy, Warner Robins; children, Jennifer Hollett (Jordan), North Augusta, South Carolina; Jeffrey Grundy; grandson, Justin Grundy, both of Baltimore, Maryland; siblings, George Grundy; Christine Bonneau, both of Minocqua, Wisconsin; Gloria Leash, Watsonville, California; Susie Duff, Omaha, Nebraska; Katharine Grundy, Minocqua, Wisconsin; step daughter, Terri TenHoor, M.D., Atlanta, Georgia; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, July 15 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Dr. Napp Granade and Reverend Keith Ivy officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations in memory of Major Grundy to the Museum of Aviation; WWII Building Fund, P.O. Box 2469, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088 or to the donor's favorite charity.
