Major Clarence B. "C.B." Prince, Jr., 83, entered into rest on August 20, 2010 after an extended illness.
Major Prince was born on September 11, 1926 in Union, South Carolina. Having served in the Korean War, he was a skilled pilot in the United States Air Force, retiring with great pride and honor after 23 years of service. Major Prince received many notable awards for his service, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with One Leaf Cluster, and the Distinguished Service Award. He was also a realtor for Cribb Realty. Major Prince was a past member of the Optimist Club as well as a past president of the Warner Robins Board of Realtors. Major Prince was a devout member of Christ United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his son, John Michael Prince; parents, Clarence and Ola Prince; and siblings, Lewis Prince, and Estelle P. Hughes.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Patricia W. Prince, Warner Robins; stepsons, Gary Justice (Martha), Atlanta; Dr. Mark Justice (Alisa), Acworth; Paul Justice (Molly), Athens; sister, Elizabeth P. Russell (Roy), Nashville, TN. Major Prince will also be missed by his grandchildren, Sarah, Anna, Neil, Zachary, and MacKenzie Justice; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to the Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund, 511 Russell Parkway Warner Robins, GA 31088.
