Major Frank E. Seames, Usaf (Ret)

Major Frank E. Seames, 74, passed away on August 7, 2010 at Hospice Serenity House after a courageous struggle with leukemia and ischemic heart disease. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Eunice Seames, and his brothers, Fred and Earl Seames.

Mr. Seames was born in Columbiaville, Michigan. Major Seames earned many awards and medals during his distinguished career with the United States Air Force, first as a navigator and then as an intelligence officer. With great pride and honor, he served tours in Greenland, Vietnam, Germany, Thailand, and other numerous locations throughout the United States. After retiring from the military, Mr. Seames studied carpentry and bricklaying then personally built his own home. He continued to work another 20 years at Robins Air Force Base as a Civil Service Management Analyst. Major Seames was a member of the V.F.W and the Pine Needles Golf Association, where he impressed many with his record of six hole-in-ones. He was also an avid bowler, dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

Major Seames is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Edna Seames; daughters, Kim Brown (Bill), Huntsville, Alabama; Cheryl Bruce, Bonaire; son, Gary Seames (Angie), West Palm Beach, Florida; sister, Mary Hamilton; brothers, Howard and Floyd Seames; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Andersonville National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be made to Serenity Hospice, 1057 N. Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA, 31093.
