Mamie Jo Wolfe, also lovingly referred to as “Jo” or “Mama Jo,” 88, entered into rest on Monday, May 13, 2024.
Jo was born on March 18, 1936, in Lakeland, Florida. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Asbury Sunday School class, where she participated in Bible studies and ladies retreats. For a number of years, Jo worked as a bookkeeper and office manager at John R. McNeill Real Estate, as well as secretary at Macon Coca Cola Bottling Company.
In addition to her work, she was passionate about sewing, scrapbooking, traveling, reading books, gardening and especially loved watching her flowers grow. Above all, she cherished her family deeply and enjoyed family get togethers.
Her parents, Charles and Helen Wolfe, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Donna Pallini (Rick), and Margie VanEvera (Glenn); grandchildren, Lisa Taylor (Garrett), Laura Pallini, Lynda Cannon (Harrison), Lacee Pallini, Michele Stevanus (Brandon), and Tyler VanEvera (Allison); great-grandchildren, Summer, Hayden, Rowan, Stevie, Saylor, Dawsyn, Hayes, and Remy.
The family of Jo Wolfe would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Gramps & Grannies Nursing Home, as well as Georgia Hospice Care for the care they provided to Jo during her final days.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Mamie Jo Wolfe to Alzheimer’s Association at 3040 Riverside Drive, Ste B4, Macon, GA or Trinity United Methodist Church Trustee Fund at 129 S. Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA.
