Mamie M. Harper, 91, entered into rest on Monday, July 6, 2009. Mrs. Harper was born on March 24, 1918 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Her parents, William Douglas Mitcham and Lou Ella Mitcham, daughter, Rowena Lea Wall and ten siblings preceded her in death.
She was a faithful member of the church of Latter Day Saints Ward II, in Warner Robins, where she played a very active role. Mrs. Harper dedicated her time to missionary work and taught the gospel doctrine in her local church and in the Mormon Temple in Silver Springs, Maryland.
Her memory will forever be treasured by many friends and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Bishop Fred Rodriquez officiating. Interment will be at Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to American Cancer Society, Houston County PO Box 1544, Warner Robins 31099-1544.
