Mamie Taylor Mcrae

Mrs. Mamie “Patsy” McRae, 85, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2006 in her home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, at Green Acres Baptist Church with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Reverend Johnny Ellison and Dr. Donald McRae will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, January 23, from 6 until 8 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to The Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes P.O. Box 329 Palemetto, GA 30268.

Mrs. McRae was born on January, 2, 1921 in Babbie, Alabama. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Mrs. McRae was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where she worked as a contracting officer. In Opp, Alabama she had worked as a spinner at Micolas Cotton Mill and as a seamstress in a sewing factory in Andalusia, Alabama. Her parents, Robert Richard Dowen Taylor and Alma Iris Boles Taylor, one brother and six sisters preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of sixty two years, Hollis S. McRae, Warner Robins; sons, Darryl McRae, Stockbridge, GA; Jack McRae, Miami, FL; and a host of loving friends.
