Manuel S. Cruz

Manuel S. Cruz, 85, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2006 in his home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2006 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Central Baptist Church Joy in the Journey Fund, 1120 Lake Joy RD Warner Robins, GA 31088.

Mr. Cruz was born on July 23, 1920 in Chihuahan, Mexico. He was of the Catholic faith and attended Central Baptist Church. A veteran of the United States Army and United States Air Force, Mr. Cruz served his country during World War II. He was retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he worked as an equipment specialist.

Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Cruz, Warner Robins; daughters, Patricia A. Bates (Forrest), Carrolton, GA; Kelly Y. Gaddis (Bobby), Juliette, GA; son, James M. Cruz (Rhonda), California; step-daughters, Marcia Sledge (Lonnie), Fort Valley; Sabrena Conine (Don), St. Louis, MO; step-son, Gregory Weeks, Nashville, TN; sister, Mary Cordero, Marfa, TX; eleven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
