Marcus Upson Howard

Marcus Upson Howard, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2004 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, at the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 2 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Born in Blackville, South Carolina, Mr. Howard moved to Warner Robins in 1972. He retired from Robins Air Force Base where he worked as a typist for 23 years. He was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Macon. Mr. Howard was an amateur radio operator. His parents, Fred King and Pauline Simmons Howard preceded him in death.

Survivors include sisters, Joan Howard Holcomb Macon; Ethel Mae Cantwell, Bradley, GA; Jackie Howard, Atlanta, GA; Mary Howard Calabrese, Titusville, NJ; and 23 nieces and nephews.
