Marcy Lynn Haught

April 23, 1974 — March 2, 2022

Marcy Lynn Haught was freed by her Savior from her earthly burdens and illness and she walked through the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Marcy was born April 23, 1974, in Warner Robins, to Gale Ezra “Tucker” Haught, Jr. and Alice Teresa "Terry" Haught. She grew up in Warner Robins, Georgia, in a happy home, with her parents, brother, Brian and grandmother, Nana Evelyn Haught. Marcy attended Houston County schools and graduated from Northside High School (92) While there, she was an avid member of 4-H, receiving many awards and winning a National 4-H advertising campaign competition. Marcy also was a member of the Northside High Marching Band and played the flute and piccolo beautifully. Marcy enjoyed participating in local scholarship beauty pageants, including the Miss Warner Robins Pageant. Marcy was a loving, caring, intelligent, vibrant child, who grew into a loving, caring, intelligent, vibrant adult.

After graduating from high school, it was only natural that Marcy, the daughter of two University of Georgia graduates, would attend UGA. A lifelong Dawg fan, she proudly played piccolo in the Red Coat Marching band. She greatly enjoyed playing in Sanford Stadium, as well as traveling with the band to perform on fall Saturdays. In addition, Marcy was a member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, serving the Athens community in her free time. Marcy also worked at the University of Georgia as a bus driver for the campus bus service.

Marcy graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Agricultural Communications (97). After graduation, she worked various jobs as a Marketing Coordinator for corporations in Greensboro, North Carolina and the Atlanta, Georgia. area. Marcy was a loving and intensely devoted mother to her three sons, Tyler, 21, Dalton, 15 and Cameron, 12. They were her pride and joy and the lights of her life. She took great delight in all of her sons' many interests and accomplishments. She was so very proud of her boys. She was always their biggest fan and supporter.

After years working in the marketing industry, Marcy decided to return to school to pursue a career as a respiratory therapist and earned her second degree in 2004.

She was a natural caretaker and fastidious in her duty to care for her patients. Marcy's skilled care helped ease the suffering of so many people in their darkest hour.

Marcy was an extremely spiritual person. She was involved in many church activities and was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Monroe, Georgia. Her love and caring nature for others spilled over into her spiritual endeavors.

For years Marcy battled and struggled to live with Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID) and health issues related to the disease. For years, she fiercely fought to live with CVID and its severe effects. Despite living with the life altering consequences of her diagnosis, Marcy never lost her sense of humor. She was passionate about raising awareness as well as funding for research into this disease.

Marcy is survived by her three sons, Tyler, Dalton, and Cameron; brother Brian Haught (Monik); niece (Lilly); and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her beloved relatives, parents, Tucker and Terry Haught; grandparents, Gale and Evelyn Haught, Edward and Alice Foster, as well as her aunt, Lynn Foster Manning.

Marcy will be deeply missed by family and friends and all who knew her. She was one of a kind.

It was Marcy's wish to have a service in Warner Robins for her friends and family here. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at McCullough Funeral Home. Her memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. A reception will follow the service at The Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home.
