Margaret Eileen Flad

Margaret Flad, 91, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015.

Margaret was born on April 5, 1923 in St. Augustine, Florida. She was raised in Shiloh Methodist Church. After graduating Margaret enlisted in the United States Army. There she proudly served in the medical records field in World War II. During that time she met and married the late Earnest Flad, Jr. and became a devoted homemaker. Margaret enjoyed gardening in her spare time and loved taking care of her family.

Her husband, Earnest Flad, Jr.; granddaughter, Veda Williams; parents, Felton and Estelle Brown Foskey; and siblings, Mildred Duett, Sonny Foskey, and Winifred Porter, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Earnest F. Flad, III (JoAnn) of Centerville and Donna Godfrey (Joe) of Warner Robins, grandsons, Joseph Godfrey, Jr. of Savannah and David Godfrey of Warner Robins; five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Alma Dixon of Bonaire and Vivian Pardue of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
