Margaret Hattaway Burris

Margaret H. Burris, 92, entered into rest on June 25, 2011.

Margaret was born on April 29, 1919 in Georgia. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church where she was the Mary Wheeler Sunday School Class Secretary. Mrs. Burris was a former member and pianist at Kathleen Baptist Church. She supported three children along with the Christian Children's Fund, and in her spare time, Margaret loved to work in the garden. Her parents, George L. and Izetta Hattaway; sisters, Doris Wells and Betty Jean Jordan; and brother, George L. Hattaway, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, George L. Burris, Warner Robins, Clint Burris, Warner Robins, Faye Godfrey, Parker City, Indiana, Danny Burris, Muncie Indiana, and Irvin Burris, Anderson, Indiana; sisters, Christine Sylvester, Titusville, Florida, and Naomi Hodges, Castleberry, Florida; sister-in-law, Jeanett Hattaway; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to donor's favorite charity.
