Margaret Jean Fendley Crenshaw

Margaret Jean Fendley Crenshaw, age 97, was reunited with her beloved husband of 64 years, John Andrew Crenshaw, in Heaven on the morning of Sunday, March 10, 2024. Margaret was born on October 11, 1926, in Red Level, Alabama, to the late John Fendley and Minnie Robinson Fendley.

Margaret was a devoted member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church for nearly six decades, joining in 1966. She was caring and a had genuine interest in others. Margaret’s past volunteer work with the church's Keenagers brought her immense joy. She also enjoyed participating in the Walk-Through Bethlehem.

Known for her impeccable style, Margaret always took pride in her appearance and enjoyed dressing elegantly. In her youth, she was a talented athlete.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

 In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her four brothers, and two sisters.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her sons, John Crenshaw (Peggy) and Gary Crenshaw (Amy), all of Warner Robins, and Richard Crenshaw (Robyn) of Conyers; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; as well as sister, Anne Peninger of Matthews, North Carolina; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.  Afterward, Margaret Jean Fendley Crenshaw will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
